The primary working component of the PC series hammer crusher is a rotor equipped with hammers (also known as hammer heads). The rotor assembly consists of a main shaft, discs, pins, and hammers. An electric motor drives the rotor to rotate at high speed within the crushing chamber. Material is fed into the machine through the upper inlet and is pulverized by the high-speed hammers through a combination of striking, impact, shearing, and grinding actions. A screen plate is positioned beneath the rotor; material particles smaller than the screen apertures pass through and are discharged, while coarser particles remain on the screen to undergo further striking and grinding by the hammers before eventually passing through the screen and exiting the machine.
